Founded on the dream of two of the great-grandchildren of John A. Hook, founder of Hook’s Drugstores, Hook’s Apothecary was founded in 1999 with one goal in mind: to provide high quality, customized compounded medications to meet individual patient needs. From that dream, Hook’s Apothecary’s staff have amassed over 80 years of compounding experience and have helped thousands of Tri-State patients meet their particular healthcare needs.
We continue to strive to meet that goal and remain open-minded to whatever challenge may be presented. From a child struggling with multiple allergies, to the elderly who can no longer take tablets or capsules — even our furry friends who need a specific strength of a medication, Hook’s Apothecary is here to help!
We also strive to be a good steward in our community, supporting several charities and organizations throughout the Tri-State, including Easter Seals Fantasy of Lights, Tri-State Hot Stove League, Santa Clothes Club, Vanderburgh Humane Society, Evansville Catholic High Schools, Good Shepherd Catholic Church and St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Hooks’s Apothecary’s staff are members of the following pharmacy professional organizations: Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) and Indiana Pharmacists Alliance (IPA).
